Diesel/Matthias Zimmermann

So yes, we’re big fans of Matthias Zimmermann’s music and it was great to recently learn that he composed the soundtrack to the world campaign for Diesel’s new Vektr headphones by Monster.

Stefan Sagmeister

 Obsessions Make My Life Worse And My Work Better was an installation by Stefan Sagmeister for Droog Design. It was made in Amsterdam in september 2008. It took 350 000 euro cent coins, 3 days of work and 150 volunteers. It was entirely removed by the police the day after it was finished.

(I know this is an old one but I just love this piece. Had to put it here.)

Markus Linnenbrik : Düsseldorf prison.

Markus Linnenbrink was commissioned to create a floor to ceiling
painting covering the visitors tunnel of the Prison in Düsseldorf Rath, Germany.

Being a model prison in Europe, this institution is build and set up to deal with security and humanity issues in the best possible way.

~Flow is a project by Ed Carter from the Arts Council England and Simon Blackmore from Owl Project. It’s a mill house, moored on the River Tyne, that uses the river’s energy along with some brilliant “electro-acoustic” musical instruments to create music from nature—what’s effectively a huge, laser- and synth-powered chemistry set. It’s sort of like a huge player piano that reads water instead of music.

Colour By Numbers

Colour by Numbers is a permanent light installation in the tower at Telefonplan in Stockholm, Sweden. Everyone can change the colours in the tower with their mobile phone, just like with a remote control. The project is a collaboration between the interaction designer Loove Broms, the architect Milo Lavén and the artist Erik Krikortz.

Takanori Aiba

Takanori Aiba was born in 1953 in Yokohama, Japan. Studied Japanese traditional textiles and dyed clothing in Tokyo Zokei University. Built a first career as a freelance maze illustrator since 1978. His maze works were serialized in “POPYE”, Japanese fashion magazine for 10 years. Founded his own company,”Graphics and Designing Inc.”, in 1981. Expand a range of his career to a concept maker and art director for architectural spaces. Since, 2003, He put his mind to create three dimensional art works which combine  his knowledge and experience of both maze illustrator and architect.
